That is a real beauty, I like the pinning and the badge plus the choice of wood.
Great work Bill.

Thanked: 8That razor is like a stream of bats piss..
What I mean is "when all around is dark and gloomy it stands out like a shaft of gold".

Thanked: 8I think you could safely imagine him to be at least delighted, probably gobsmacked and even blown away.

Wow, what can I say.............
Yes Gary all of those would apply I didn't post sooner because I wanted to wait till I got the razor before seeing the pics of it. It was extremely hard not to look. I did cheat by looking at some of your replies without opening the tread
I figured it would show up on Monday which it did. I had to testify in court at 1:30 and it didn't show up till after I got home so I had already shaved for the day I even waited till momma got home and we opened it together. She asked me if that is what the $$ that I gave her for the checkbook was for. I assume she was thinking I was crazy for paying that for a razor.
I believe "Ohhhhhhhhhhh Wowwwwwwww" was her response, as well as mine. What an outstanding piece. I even earned some points when I informed her that the ruby was for her (birthstone). She commented that it was worth the $$ paid. I have to agree also. She also said that had she know that she could get custom stuff made she would have done something like this for me for Christmas. Maybe the rest of you need to give your wifes/girlfriends Bill's email address?
The scales turned out beautiful! The wood has such a nice grain and the age of the wood is really something. The pins Bill used are really sharp also, they just seem to go well with the rest of it. The numbers turned out so smooth you can't even feel them under the CA finish. Leaving the badge raised really worked also.
I really like the wedge blade. I am pretty sure I have purchased my last full hollow razor. After using the heavier blades I have really took to them. At 7/8 this is my biggest razor so far. I cannot imagine using a 12/8 I like the 7/8 though, and may have to hunt for an 8/8. Or is that how you one day end up with a 12/8 monster
I gave Bill a rough idea and ballpark $$ and let it go from there. It was neat not knowing what to expect until it showed up.
P.S. Not only does this guy make awesome razors but he takes some darn good pictures also!
