Thread: buying blades to custom razors

hey there
i have for some time wanted to make straight razors, but i don't think i have all the tools yet, to make my own blades, so i was wondering if there were any website, were you can buy loose straight razor blades, so that all i have to make is the shafts.

I do not know of a site that sales straight razor blades only. You will see them here in our classifieds but not often. You can find them on ebay but if you need to have a more than fair degree of expertise for taking a close look at what you may find on ebay otherwise you will make wrong choices. If by shafts you mean scales? You can find them on many websites usually
offered in sections on restoration or display. Or google straight razor scales. Good luck. Do your homework on this site and you will become a little more comfortable with where you would like to head.
