If I were putting a razor away for future generations I would

  1. put on nitrile gloves
  2. wipe razor down with with alcohol then with with acetone to remove any finger prints, oil, acid, crud
  3. wipe out inside of glass jar and lid
  4. put a thin layer of high quality wax on the blade and handle
  5. wrap it in acid free paper
  6. put it in a glass jar with both water vapor and oxygen desiccant packages
  7. put the lid on the jar, then dip the lid in molten wax to make an air tight seal
  8. store in a dark cool place


I attended a lecture on making time capsules one time. This was basically what they said to do.
