If I were putting a razor away for future generations I would
- put on nitrile gloves
- wipe razor down with with alcohol then with with acetone to remove any finger prints, oil, acid, crud
- wipe out inside of glass jar and lid
- put a thin layer of high quality wax on the blade and handle
- wrap it in acid free paper
- put it in a glass jar with both water vapor and oxygen desiccant packages
- put the lid on the jar, then dip the lid in molten wax to make an air tight seal
- store in a dark cool place
I attended a lecture on making time capsules one time. This was basically what they said to do.
