alcohol cleans it up easy no problem at all

By the time you're ready with the razor, any trace of it will be gone.
Patternwelded steel is fluxed with borox and etched with ferric chloride and hydrochloric acid.
You don't want that on your face either
So it's a good thing that by the time you're using the blade, all traces of that stuff are gone.
