Thread: Thiers Issard Dandy Lux with bent scales.

I just scored a TI dandy Lux. The blade is in excellent condition. I light buffing on a wheel will have it back to its former glory. I am fairly certain that the blade is straight. I know the scales are bend and my eyes keep playing tricks on me. I am assuming I have to remove them to know for certain if the blade is straight. I will add some pics of the scales.
Are the scales celluloid or plastic? I have searched a few threads that said celluloid can be straightened and that they do not like heat.

I guess I have three questions.

1. Do I need to take the scales off the razor"

2. Are they celluloid or plastic, and

3. Can they be re-straightened?

They are in other wise excellent shape.
