I've been eyeing off one of those "Big Reds" for the exact same reason as you. I believe they also go well with the Aussie designed Multi tool attachment. I can't afford a dedicated belt grinder,
this is why I was interested in your post.
Multitool Belt and Disc Grinder attachments to fit to an existing bench grinder, or powered by an industrial duty motor

Thanked: 28no worries bongo =], I also found another one company that builds their own bench grinders, and they happen to be up the road from me, they say they can also put in a variable speed engine as well. they have an ebay store, their called conon motor.
