I have 2 of the same blades given to me by an old friend who was a barber.The Powerhouse museum also has some of them.The following link will show you:

I thought I was lucky having one,it turns out your twice as lucky
I honed the blade last night ,I had my first shave with it today,and all modesty aside ,shes a bloody ripper
any way thanks for letting me know about the razors,I wonder if you could ask your mate why they were made and by what company etc ,any info would be great

Hi bg,
The company that imported a lot of these was called "W.JNO.BAKER".They are still operational but deal in different items now.I am fairly sure I have some Bengal razors that have some etching on them with their name mentioned somewhere.I will let you know what I can Find.

If anyone has a platypus razor in good condition, Id be interested in buying. I have one already, and will rescale, but I have a different aussie native wood that Id like to turn in to razor scales with a Platypus blade.
