Try an old toothbrush or the like.

I like the oral B spin pro brush you can get everywhere, with a pack of replacement heads should be about $15 works great b/c it polishes and scrubs at the same time.
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

Pipe cleaners or use a pair of pliers to flatten the tips of your Q-Tips (cotten swabs).

Thanked: 3215Get some wooden coffee stir sticks 2 or 3 depending on thickness wrap in a paper towel spray with cleaner, WD 40, 409 or simple green. Once cleaned a new paper towel and some polish, mass, mother or car polish will buff the indide of the scales. Also Chop Sticks, bamboo skewers and polish work well. If you have a lot of rust at the pivot you are just going to have to unpin.
