Picked up this (somewhat) 7/8" w greaves and sons a while ago. Think it can be saved? I'm thinking of going to town on it just to see what comes out. I got it for pretty cheap. Name: razor.jpg

Yes, I think it can be saved, but I'm quite the optimist. What it will look like when you're finished with it is another question.

The pitting in the middle of the blade looks too deep to ever be able to get a good edge I think. It's worth a try but I'm not hopeful that blade will ever be used for shaving again.

You could breadknife it with a grinder to find out how far you would need to go but it looks pretty bad.
You might be better just keeping it for display.

I've brought back some pretty bad razors in my time that have turned out to be good shavers.
    But, I think that one's a goner.
Dont let that stop you though, if your happy to go to town on it and see how things turn out then do it.
Just dont get to disappointed if it doesnt work out.
    have fun

I thing all will probably depend how far you want to go with getting rid of that pitting and if you will be lucky that is not too deep. On other hand you will at least learn new skills.
