Keep an eye on that razor in the yellow celluloid. If after a few days you see a light layer of rust forming on your freshly restored bade, you need to pitch those scales. I just posted a thread about celluloid rot in this sub-forum today -- it looks like you may just have a case of it!

Here is what I'm talking about. Notice the opaque areas of the scales, there is no rust on the blade -- and where the more translucent areas of the scales, the blade is rusted. Just an observation!!!
