Anybody know where i can get wood or acrylic for scales? Im gonna try it..

Looks like to much for me, i dont have the tools or the time.. ill stick to light restores repinning and polishing heavy work will b sent out!! Lol

If you got a coping saw, sandpaper, and about 2-3 hours you can make a nice set in no time. Look at "lewisrazors" on youtube for charlie's scales with minimal tools, it took him ~1-1 1/2 hours to make a set.
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

This guy has some insane acrylic scales but at 1/4" thick, maybe too much work ?....Great colours though.

acrylic for scales
I'm worried about the thickness how thick does a scale have to b and without a lot of woodworking tools how would I get them to the width?? That's my problem I don't wanna spend serious cash on power tools sand paper coping saws etc I can do.. In most of these videos the scales r precut to the widths needed

You need a broken window, a coping saw, an assortment of fine sandpaper and some rubbing compound.

Consider sheet plexiglass or polycarbonate from a hardware store, various thicknesses are available as long as you like clear.

Are 4inch by 8 inch sheets 1/8 inch thick good!! Saw sample sheets at eplastics.com for 13.00
