Thanks for the like charlie, fyi i learned the hot vinegar method from your you tube vid series- needless to say you have been an inspiration to both myself and the community.
So i drew up these scales for the blade, i think they work well. Im now torn between carbon fiber and micarta/g10 on these ones. andy input or feedback on the scale shape / color?

I like it! Especially how the tang shape is echoed on the scales.
So here's what she looks like! ok about the scales- they are acrylic, and i original roughed them out with those thorns on the side like shown out the out line in the pics on the post above; unfortunately they interfered with the closing of the razor so i tryed to get creative and do something with heat.... not a good idea. the rear scale ended up a little melted so long story short i cut off the thorns :( and the rear guy has a little war scar. o well i think it looks pretty nice. i opted for bolt n nut on these for an industrial look. I will be attending the new york city / long island meetup in jersey tomorrow morning. going to see if we can get this bad boy on the stones then. for now let me know what you think!!

I think you did great ! The first one is always the learn as you go method as I am finding out myself. It's tough but you pulled it off. Congratulations . :y
Shame about the thorns, but I think it turned out really great! Nice and aggressive to match the regrind. :tu
A fine job for sure, Enjoy!
I like the color and shape of the scales. It looks aggressive. Good job!
