    Default Newbie question

    Hi to everybody,

I would like to ask to the experts if it's possible to save inscriptions on blades while removing rust with sanpaper.

I hope that is not a recurring and tedious question......

Thank you very much to you all in advance

Oh! Oh! I was taught this! Sharpen a No. 2 pencil and use it gently on the rust! Works amazingly.
It's just corn syrup... Warm, blood flavored, corn syrup ...

Yes it is. It does depend on the depth of corrosion vs depth of stamp/etch. It also depends if you want to take it to a mirror finish or just remove active rust and leave a few scars.
If you have something in mind, pictures may help us evaluate the situation.

Thank you baldy, what I have in mind it's a Puma 91 I saw on ebay. The vendor sent me more pics and I saw same rust on the inscription on the blade. It's not exactly cheap......
That's the reason of my question.

    Hope my English it's readable.........

You may loose some of the enscription, but it looks like a good daily razor to me once you are done with getting off that rust. Many of the metal polishes will remove the gold, but you may have to use some and take the hit. Main thing is to get rid of that rust, then put it back to work!
