    Default SR marble blade straightner?

    A seller of Ebay has, what he calls an antique marble SR blade straightner, anyone heard of these before? Sorry. I was not able to post picture but ad can be found at:

    These were sold and used somewhat like barber hones. When the edge started to degrade you would pull the blade through the glass balls to sharpen it up. Nothing new about using glass to hone steel, it has been done for years.

    I've seen them before, they are usually described as a "sharpener" rather than a "straightener".
