    Default Cutting hex head fasteners

    Just wondering what are you guys using to cut the microfastners hex head screws for pinning..???

    For myself I only use them for setup and aligning. Don't see why you couldn't just cut them with a small hacksaw or something of the sort and then file them down the rest of the way.

    Now that I'm able to do more things in regards to restores, I bought some washers rod hex screw bolts and the wrench.. I'm playing around .. I may wanna use these on a set of scales or two or three lol.. Thanks

    Did you see my orange ones at the meet? I used a dremel.

    Put a nut on them before cutting to a length. When the nut comes off it cleans up the threads. If installed in the razor, any flush cutter or dremel would work. file flat, and a couple taps with a light hammer would assure the nut doesn't come off later.

    I just use my end cutter to shorten it, after I first tightened the screw with the nut. The excess I sand flush on my belt sander with a high grit belt. Works like magic for me. I use the blue loctite to make sure they stay secure when done.
