Default Is this Cell Rot ?

After reading Undream's article on celluloid rot, http://straightrazorpalace.com/works...uloid-rot.html
I was wondering if this razor was another example of that "sickness". This razor is on ebay at the moment.

I would have to say that it's not. There's no rust towards the edge which is usually where it starts along the scale shape.

JimmyHAD; If i saw a razor like that for a buck, I would buy it and pin it to the bathroom wall as a "note to self, always dry after use".
What's its story by the way?

That's not caused from not drying the blade...it's cell rot. When celluloid breaks down it emits a gas that is deadly to metal.

Hm! I think might need a bit more than a 1k to set the bevel right.

Funny you should ask. I actually picked that photo up from an ebay auction awhile back. Guy said the blade had some rust but the 'handles' were good.
