Thanked: 1263The problem would be that you need to have some flex in the scales. I've seen a few guys try making scales out of glass and the only way it was accomplished IIRC was to use a rubber wedge to allow some give along the line.

Thanked: 55It would be interesting to see it used as an inlay.

Thanks all. After thinking about it it would have to be an inlay of some sort with how brittle it would be to pin. That or I might find another purpose for it. I couldn't turn it down for the price and quality it was.
Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

Thanked: 21I love lapis, i have it in a ring and it looks amazing. I'd love to see the finished product however you use it. I think it would look amazing as a wedge, once polished it has such a beautiful look.
Good luck.

I sometimes wonder about how things work out. I found this when looking for a wrist splint in a drawer that I normally don't look in. It is Chrysoprase not Lapis but may give you an idea to use it for something sharp.

A thought occurred. Maybe inlaying a brush?

Could be broken down and suspended in acrylic or something to that effect, kinda like the inlay on the shark razor that Baldy made last year.
