Thanked: 2Where to find scales?
Is there anywhere that you can find scales for a 9/8 W&B, or are you pretty much stuck with the custom route? I've got a sweet blade that needs some scales but I cant seem to find any anywhere.
Thanks for any tips in the right direction!

Thanked: 1184Well if your going to pin it yourself you might as well make them too. But if you want a set that looks original and you don't want to do any of the work I would suggest looking in the classifieds here on SRP. I think I saw some kits on e-bay with washers pins and scales but they didn't seem very inexpensive to me. I just bought a pile of horn and going to do some of my own but not for others until I am confident enough in my skills and have all the right tools. I think gssixgun does some nice work with scales and may have some ideas for you. I am sure he could make just what it came with as could many others in here. I know pixelfixed does some work that will make your jaw drop too. This is just a few I know off the top of my head. But I know if there is something you want that has to do with straights , all you have to do is PM somebody who's work you see in these pages and ask.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Classifieds for sure and you can get a custom one done...
Another place to look is The Imperial Shave for some ideas of what is available.

Thanked: 26Poking around on the Revisor site the other day, I discovered they have an page of replacement scales, different types and sizes, mostly for not too much money, labor and quality considered: Ersatzteile
They may or may not have the size you need, but it seems like a resource to remember.
