This may not be new to some of you guys, but it was for me. This is the new/ish "hybrid super glue" by loctite. I have been trying to get some brass liners to hold to some birdseye maple using: defcon 2 ton epoxy, gorilla glue, zap a gap to no avail. I saw this at lowes and decided what the heck. It held! Man, it held like crazy. It has consistency of a thin gel...well, not quite gel, but thicker in viscosity than the liquid stuff. It has a 30min open time w/ 24hr. cure. It cures crystal clear, so it could be used for a CA finish, but leaves a bit of flexibility, in that it feels like epoxy once fully cured. It touts as being impact, water, and temp. resistant, and seems to deliver. I pulled a little on the brass to check, and it wasn't even flexing, I accidentally left the bottle in the garage the night before I used it, and the temp. got down into the low 30's that night; next morning it was still good as new. I haven't tested the water resistance, but so far I am impressed. I plan to keep atleast 2 bottles of this stuff on hand; definitely worth giving it a shot.
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.
