    Default Pins and washers?

Anybody have a pin and washer set for 1 razor they want to sell? I am making scales and now I am at the point where I need to get pins and washers for it. My problem is that I only find sets that will pin like 15-20 razors and not one. The way they sell it makes perfect sense to me, but I only need one and I can't justify the cost of an extra $15 plus shipping to my wife since I am already on thin ice by buying a new razor to restore and wood for scales, sandpaper etc...if anybody is willing we can come up with a deal please send me a message. I think this could ship in a basic envelope with a stamp. Thanks for the help to those that reply.

Its your first try at it and you might be sucessfull but maybe not.
I think it very well might cost more in the long run by buying one set and paying postage for it and then find you have to try it again to get the degree of quality in workmanship that you have hoped for.
If you are sucessful with your first attempt don't you think you will want to do another?
First attemp sucessful or not I would guess that you will be wanting for more.
Maybe buy a set and break it into two and ebay one of them.
The "more thing" is just a big part of the SR Disease and you will just have to accept that.
Good luck in conveying this info to your wife!

You can try and make thrust washers out of some thin sheet metal, but you will have to come up with a punch and a system to punch them out. I am not sure what your garage setup is, but this is an option. There are a couple of videos on youtube that will show you how to do this. You will need to get some 1/16 rod, and I have found this on amazon for relatively cheap. You may also have a local company that deals in small rod, I have found non where I live, this just depends on where you are at. A 1 foot length will last you a while, but you will have to eventually order more. My suggestion is get a microfastner order for you washers, and a couple rods off of ebay or amazon and you wont have to have this convo with the wife for a while. It is always easier to ask forgiveness than permission. Best on luck friend-

PM me if you can't find a local supplier, and I'll send you four sets. You should be able to get brass rod at a good hardware store. They usually have a small display with rod and tube. The washers are harder to fine. You are looking for 0-80 size.

It is a disease. I thought I would just need one for shaving and then that would be it. Now I'm diving into restoration and looking for all kinds of other razors. Insanity.
