start making scales !!!

picked up a little ban saw so i just had to try it out .. WOW what a difference ...lol

decided to try to slab off some pieces of antler that where to small for the razor i want to do in antler just to see how it would/wouldnt cut and kinda get an idea of how the texture would appear .. so i through a blade in , came up with what shape i could to make it fit and cam up with this ..

then pulled out a piece of walnut and went into these .

and finally these !!!

i think m gonna try some g10 , horn , or micarta next .. i dont have a buffer so im kind leary about the end results ill get out of the 3 ?? maybe kinda a satin finish ??

Looking good,

sand by hand an polish with a dremel if you need to, but I am not sure I would call that bored
