Default Dixie manufacturing company Union City GA. ?

I bought a throw away today to practice restoration on. I picked up just the blade for $8. It is smaller than 5/8 but for $8 I can learn and if I mess it up it is no big deal. After getting some rust off it reads Dixie manufacturing Union City, GA on one side of the tang and Dixie Blue Steel on the other. Anyone know about the manufacturing or time period. If I hone it without messing it up, I will need some new scales for it. Name: Image1.jpg

I have a Dixie. I can't tell you more than its a 4/8 and its a fine shaver. I believe I read these were made until 1950 at the latest. I'm not an expert, so don't quote me on that. Good luck with it.
