    Good eye Stefan! that razor has definately seen some heavy grinding, a pic of the same model and size.

    I kind of wondered too about that after seeing 5/8 stamped on the tang and it looks like a 3/8 now. I wonder what it actually measures now?

    Im curious to know what you mean by unquenched?
    I mean that the person that ground it - with that much anger - may have heated the blade too much so that it lost it's property (hardness, elasticity) which would make it impossible to get it shave ready again.
