the ups man served me well today with a package that included ren-wax , tru-oil , i 10x5 sheet of black G10 & a 10x5 sheet of olive drab canvas Micarta .... this will be my first attempt at scales in something other then wood or antler ... ive been planning on putting this Greaves 17/16 in one or the other above , i was so excited to finally aquire something other then wood that im starting a thread early ...lol..

only bad thing is i just reshaped , cleaned , and refinished the set of scales that i just took of of this razor .. i guess when my mind is set there is no turning back , i was able to hit the pins with a cutting wheel without damage to the wood so ya never know ! these scales may be cut into another set in the future ..

and my Micarta after cut out and belt sanded .. any suggestions or tricks to the Micarta before i get any further in my sanding process ??
