    Wilst:

I'm only a newbie but from what I've come to understand, generally Henckels are good blades. Lynn or Joe Chandler would be my choices for fixing this up. To my under-educated eyes, it looks like its in pretty good condition save for the small chip so I'd talk to them to get a better assessment.

    Good luck with it.

Easily. Just a good amount of circular honing on 1000 grit wet/dry sand-paper until it's gone, hone and enjoy

Absolutely, it can be fixed. Follow Firestart's advice if you want to do it yourself. That one ain't even bad.

Just remember to tape the spine (electrical tape) first. I should have mentioned this first. Another tip is to alternate sides... 10 circles on face side, 10 circles on back side, to make sure there's an even bevel wear.

Henckels are always great shavers and that razor should buff out nicely and the chip is not bad. The question is what kind of handle ........ so many choices........

    Have fun.

give Toxik or joechandler a PM and ask him to make you a custom set of scales from some exotic wood.. they look fantastic.. oh robert williams and also garythepenmen make nice scales. havn't seen gary around much lately though.
