    Default Metal polishing brands help!

Once and for all, can someone please point about the main difference between the metal polishing brands out there? Personally I'm using the Metal GLO that comes in a tube and it's giving me "OK" results, sometimes I find myself spending HOURS trying to remove dark spots from the blade with total of %80 of success).
I read all the time about Maas, Mothers Mag and Flitz, my question is if I'll buy them, should I expect a significant difference? I also have the 3M micromesh cloth from 400-8K that I am occasionally using.
I'm getting really close to a mirror finish but its never real mirror finish, most of the time it has few deep pitting dots and I get a hard time to completely remove those annoying dark stains after I cleaned a rust spot.

Metal polish is not metal remover good to get rid of pitting deep scratches etc.
The black spots you are having trouble with are pitting spots most of the time, the metal is eaten away there, the way to deal with them is to remove metal from the whole blade till the surface evens out.
With metal polish you will shine the metal while removing mainly oxidation from the surface.

I know that, the problem for me with removing metal (by hand-sanding or with power tools) is that during the sanding the blade continuously loses its original edges and become more "curvy", hope I explain myself right...I mean, the shoulders, spine, barber notch (if have one) are all becomes more rounded in the edges and I fill like I'm missing out something by doing it wrong

You cant avoid that, only thing that will keep the contours is a belt grinder. As far as I know the set ups available are useful only for wedge grinds.
IFAIK Charlie(Spazola) has a double grinder for hollow grinds but he said it is not easy to use, or something similar.

If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything.

I think you are missing the point here. On another note htere are other polishes that work just as well as Flitz, some are cheaper
