    Question 7 Day Set

I am planning on creating a (budget) seven day set of razors. A general box design and handle materials have been determined but I'm somewhat hung up on blade choice. Could someone lend some suggestions?

    My current requirements are:
    • round point
    • full hollow
    • <$160 not set in stone but I'll be buying 7 sooo...yeah.
    • simple handle materials (I'll be installing custom etched handle)
    • steel is a non issue as recipient is aware of carbon steel care needs

I knew it was for me from day one.

Lol sorry I was unclear, 160 Each. He also wants them matched so new is likely the easiest option as well. Thanks for the quick replies.

Just a few days ago there has been a set on ebay. I've watched it for some time. First they wanted 399.-€, then 299.-€ finally it went away with first bid of 150.-€
"Sunday" was missing and one of the scales had a broken edge. But besides that....

On a budget? Lol... Get 7 Dovo best quality with whatevrer handle color, and the you can buy streaked horn blanks and collars and make something really nice.
A new dovo on SRD is about $80/90-shave ready!!
Horn material will run you about $10 a pair
Fancy pre made collars will cost about 8 bucks a razor
With that being said that razor should cost a maximum of $120 each.... Plus your labor of making and pinning the scales of course; which x7 is a lot of work.
You can take the extra $280 you saved by doing this and buys a nice brush, bowel and shave creme and still have enough die ray mi left over to buy the supplies for the box to house all 7 razors.
    pfries and DDTech like this.

I was actually looking at dovos as ive read that the quality of their blades is fairly consistent throughout their offerings. According to my commissioner "they're for show but that shouldn't have an effect on quality" which thankfully mirrors my own views on blades.
