    Default Restoration Beginner

    Hello all,

    I've been shaving with a straight for a little while now and have decided to start working on some old blades that I have picked up, but I'm not sure where to start. Does anyone know of a list of materials that will get me going, and any useful techniques that I should learn to help me polish, sand, rescale, or repin? Thanks!

    I'd start off with a copy of Bill Ellis' restoration CD http://billysblades.com/Straight%20Razor%20Book.htm Well worth the price and pretty much covers everything.
