    Default Washers

    Hi all,

I'm going to be putting some new scales on a blade that I'm almost done restoring, and I'm trying to get hold of some brass washers to upt on it (I can easily get hold of 1/16 brass rods. However, from reading here and Bill's CD, I find that I need #0 washers, but everywhere that I seem to look here in the UK has numbers starting with M... (i.e. http://www.nutsboltsandthings.co.uk/brasswashers.htm or http://marinestore.co.uk/page/mrst/C...nings-brass-/).

Was just woundering if anyone knows what the equivalent is?

    Cheers for any help,

    Steven

Why don't you order from www.microfasteners.com? I know for a fact that they ship internationally. Another option would be www.smallparts.com.

If you have 1/16 brass rods you would like to have washers with a hole diameter of 1.5 mm. Probably M1.5. 1/16"=1,59mm though.
At least bolts are measured that way, M6 have a diameter of 6 mm. I have forgot if it is in the walley or on the ridges of the threads they measure.
Then you have the problem with the outer diameter of the washer as well. You might not now unless you get a better spec on them.
