Thread: First Pinning Attempt!

Hey guys!

I just attempted my first pinning job! I used an inch thich steel bar with a hole drilled in it as my ghetto anvil. It did the job just fine! I think I did a descent job, let me know what you all think!

You did good, nice to see an old razor back on the line.

Looks better than my first try or three.
Out of curiosity what prompted the choice for the double stack?

I like the look of a double stack better! It probably is more difficult to do a double stack rather than a single washer, but its whatever! I personally think it has an old western look with the brass on steel look. Idk I like the look! And thank you!

Fine job on your first pinning job! And a sweet Geneva razor as well, these early ones are great shavers.

I like the double stack on many set as well,
I found the brass of very close size to the stainless interesting as most are more prominent.

I have been so busy with lacrosse and school I just haven't had time! But now I am back and will be active!

What wood is it that you used and what finish?

While I’ve never tried the double stacked I would think that it’s harder, but the domed ones are really going to be harder!!!
