    Default First Pinning Attempt!

    Hey guys!

I just attempted my first pinning job! I used an inch thich steel bar with a hole drilled in it as my ghetto anvil. It did the job just fine! I think I did a descent job, let me know what you all think!Name: 20130618_134706.jpg

Looks better than my first try or three.
Out of curiosity what prompted the choice for the double stack?

I like the look of a double stack better! It probably is more difficult to do a double stack rather than a single washer, but its whatever! I personally think it has an old western look with the brass on steel look. Idk I like the look! And thank you!

Fine job on your first pinning job! And a sweet Geneva razor as well, these early ones are great shavers.

I like the double stack on many set as well,
I found the brass of very close size to the stainless interesting as most are more prominent.

Kudos to you and I look forward to seeing more

Parker! Where have you been? Good to see your name here again.

That pinning job looks mighty fine to me - *much* nicer than my first attempt.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

I have been so busy with lacrosse and school I just haven't had time! But now I am back and will be active!

Thank you for everyone's kind words. Now I just need a razor to fully restore.

Very nice work my young friend!!! You’ve done well!!

What wood is it that you used and what finish?

While I’ve never tried the double stacked I would think that it’s harder, but the domed ones are really going to be harder!!!

    Keep up the good work!!
