Thanks for the bids, Gents!
Am going along with Dieseled as to the end of this auction so we can get the funds into Movember by the month's actual end.
Therefore....ENDS MOVEMBER 28TH AT MIDNIGHT EST!!!!
Which, by my understanding, is 1 hour added to the SRP clock here.. So 1:00AM on the 29th by the SRP clock is the last bid.
Yeah.....that.....Last edited by sharptonn; 11-16-2017 at 05:14 PM.

These strops are sort of an enigma, as you well know, Dave.
I happened upon a cache of the boarhide panels from a man in Pennsylvania.
Stacked-up and still in their rotting cellulose wrappers.
I have spread some around as I conditioned them and added the firehose secondaries and new hardware. It seems from my feedback that some pretty hard conditioning is necessary to bring them back.
A long routine of light water and mink oil has really made them nice and proper.
They are not fancy. Basic old Barber-strops.
They don't all strop like butter. They strop like they mean business!
Yet they rank among the most effective and easy-to-use strops in my personal arsenal.
Straight Razor Place - Sun November 12th - Sat November 18th
If you are a new shaver, the draw is medium-to light, depending on the panel.
(all boars are different!)
This makes stropping go smoother and easier, esp if you are just starting out or if you like a smooth, light, and even draw.
I have never cut one, with exception of shortening one to make a Lipshaw panel, but I expect you might not ruin it by an accidental slip. Hard to cut.
Tough stuff!
Also, each one has a different color and patterns in it.
As I have several finished at this time, I can offer the buyer a choice of characteristics within the medium to light range. Some are much softer and pliable than others.
Some take the mink oil right away and turn dark and pliable.
Some remain somewhat stiff, yet extremely easy to strop on.
No more of these being made. Super nice strops. JMHO.
Not to mention that Genco striper.......6/8.......
No more of those being made either. Pony-up!
It's all to go to Movember!Last edited by sharptonn; 11-18-2017 at 04:35 AM.
