Thanked: 84Scottish Hones on ebay
Did anyone see the recent "Scotch" hones on ebay?
The usual Water of Ayr, Dalmore Blue and Tam O'Shanter.
But,but !! Red Bay fast hone, Dalmore Yellow and some great combo's too.
I'm sorry I waited till the auctions had finished as one of the guys here is very keento get his hands on one of them, so I thought I should give him some space.
Here they were

I saw them and was going to snipe the WOA combo but I work on Sunday and I was in the middle of doing a tattoo on a customer when the auction ended. I know they are scarce but I would rather get a single grit that a combo anyway. They made more then one so if I live long enough another will come around. In the meanwhile if anyone has a large single grit Water Of Ayr stone to sell I am a buyer.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanks for keeping it under wraps and for the initial tip, Marcus. I snagged a Dalmore Blue/Yellow combo but set my snipe sites too low on the Water of Ayr/Tam combo. I saw Randy Tuttle at a gun/knife show on Saturday and he was already aware of the Water of Ayr and was going to be bidding on it too. I haven't heard if he was the winner.
Unlike Jimmy, I would be perfectly happy with a Water of Ayr/Tam combo. If I found one of those I'd probably consider even selling my full Tam since I'd never wear out the combo in my lifetime.
My goal is to acquire (phrase coined by me): "The 4 Scottsman" Tam, Dalmore Blue, Dalmore Yellow, Water of Ayr.
