    Yes, MST AFAIK, Kees!
Your's are tempting me still, but they are very small for my limited skills.

Why would anyone spend 250 for a stone let alone 300, when you can buy diamond lapping film and do the entire process for under 40 bucks total. I have a chinese 12k and the slurry from you and that's all the stones I need or want. Sorry to sound so glib, just feel that people here get into stones the way they get into razors, I'd rather buy razors then stones any day, just my opinion. I want to shave not sharpen.

    cheers

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

IMHO Thuringians in no way compare to Eshers I have used both and hone alot and the Eshers are far Superior. To me the only thing coming close are some of the manmade cerimics when it comes to polishing an edge and that is all you are doing on these stomes.

Hells bells, I would rather buy stones than razors... so there you go! I like sharpening better than shaving actually.

To me each there own, If it is worth it to you then you did not over pay. I have over paid for plenty ut it was because I wanted it. No ones business to say anyone over paid. You are the one that decides what something is worth to you. The only exception I make to this is for Noobs who do not know. That bugs the crap out of me.

Don, The guy over at Timber tools is advertising NOS Escher's, which I'm told by Tony Miller in this thread are actually Thuringians....

The only way you are finding a NOS Esher is to win the lottery and walk in to a Antique store and see it sitting there. They are not Eshers. tony is right
