Thanked: 2204I agree with JimmyHad. Assigning a specific grit rating is not realistic.
Those stones, Escher/Thuringen/German Water Stone, vary quite a bit.
I have also found the using a German stone after a coticule can be an interesting experience. It will really depend on the Coticule, German stone, the steel in the razor and what your face likes.
It is unfortunate that no firm answer can be given. This is one of those cases where a guy simply has to try it for himself.
