Thread: Did I miss the Honing Contest?

I've been off the boards for the past few months, and was wondering if the Honing Contest came and went while I was gone...

Sadly, I suspect that the contest is not going to happen.

Bart was working on the razors and kindly was pretty much organizing the entire thing. Since Bart resigned from the forum and then was banned, I kind of doubt that the contest will go forward.

We all lost.

Bart resigned and was then banned?? Oh, wow... I'm sorry to hear that. I had no idea.

I guess I should do some reading...

Edit: Guys, I don't mean to bring up old drama, but can someone post some links to the threads that lead up to Bart's banning? I'm not having much luck searching. I feel like we've all lost an incredible resource here, and would like to learn what happened.

I suspect that in general the posts that lead to banning end up being pulled. If a post is bad enough to cause removal of the poster, then it's bad enough to remove the post.

I also suspect that any further conversation about this topic is not appropriate for this thread or forum section.

Look into the "one coticule honing" thread.

All of the problematic posts of all people involved have been deleted. It all happened in the 'one coticule honing' thread though. Bart resigned of his own free will, and he was free to come back at the time. The banning happened afterwards.

As far as the honing contest... It's not going to happen any time soon, since Bart was organizing everything.
