BUBBLING GOTICULE
I have find this stone and it does bubbling while i make slurry and strokes. It seems like soap. does anyone had similar experiment.
Stone does look like coticule a little different color and dots but does have 2 colors etc. i mean i would say 95% coticule.
What is interesting this stone does put very nice edge which is close to Escher. Now i will post the picture and welcome anyone opinions.

Sham, With that slate base on it, I'm pretty sure it's a Coti....I don't use soap however, so I can't help with that....
We have assumed control !

I have known barbers who use lather on there hones perhaps the soap is just a remnant of this practice and the lather has saturated your hone

Thanked: 402My first thought would be just what livingontheedge said.
Have you tried it a lot of times, Sham?
Did you lap it?
Does it always do that at the same amount?
Or do the bubbles get less?

Forgive me, as this post will add no value to this thread whatsoever (except for perhaps comic relief)...
This is obviously not a Belgian Coticule, but a coticule from France mined in the vicinity of Champagne.
