Hi everyone,

I went to Wiki to see if there was any mention on "beveling" a blade. There was slight reference to it but NO details on how it's done - that I could find. I must be going blind!

I am looking at purchasing a "blade only" that's for sale and creating a nice usable razor in the end. The blade is from a Dubl Duck "Goldedge". It looks brand new but has an ever so slight rise on the blade at it's toe. At a glance it looks like it angles up thus making the edge appear uneven at the toe.

How does one get rid of that slight rise at the toe without taking too much metal away - and make that cutting edge FLAT again?

Any comments or guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!
