    Glen,

This method was made for the Choseras. I just got done taking five practice blades through, sticking exactly to your "recipe".

    The results were fantastic.

Initially, I made the mistake of making the slurry to thick. Big mistake. The slurry took the sharpness down a bunch. Remaking the slurry very thin made all the difference. I made the slurry with just a couple very light figure 8's with a DMT 8C.

I only got five laps out of the 10k on the last step... rinsing, removing excess water with a finger, then doing light laps until the stone was just damp. The 10k dries out rather quickly, so it only made it through five of my rather slow laps. I was expecting the edge to be not quite as keen, since the number of final laps on the 10k was so minimal, but they certainly appear to be just as sharp as far as I can tell without actually shaving with one yet.

The edges all feel great. They all have the velvet squeegee feeling on arm hair. I'll shave with one of them in a bit.

This system is *easy*. I really think that the newest of newbs could get good results quickly.

If the results off the other stones (Super Stones, Nortons, etc.) are this good, this system should probably go in the WIKI as a great way for new guys to start off with good results.

The only potential hangup I could see new guys getting in trouble with this system is making the slurry to thick. It's gotta be thin, at least on these stones. Maybe the other stone types aren't as sensitive to slurry thickness?

Edit: Thumbs up on the shave test. All three passes nice and smooth.
