You've met the snipers...learn to become one!

Never bid before the last minute, or even the last 15 seconds, set your bid, then set the auto bid for as high as your prepared to go, and with 10 or 15 seconds left, pull the triggers and you'll find out real quick if you won or lost.

We've all learned that the hard way...no point needlessly driving the price up in the days leading up to the end, it all happens in the last minute.

I watched a razor, literally a work of art, was NOS, for a week it held at around $55, was already to go with the bid and follow up auto-bid, and in the last 15 seconds, I pulled the trigger, and watched it top off at over $450 ( I lost, wasn't anywhere near that price)!!!!

That's why E-Bay can be fun and frustrating as heck...sometimes you catch people sleeping, and get a great deal. Most times, you pay way more for less, or at least questionable quality. Then you get to add shipping, and if you aren't into honing or good at it, then you have to ship it out an pay for that (and shipping).

I try not to go E-Bay'ing anymore...

Anyone who buys on e-bay that doesn't use a Sniper program really is not serious about winning, you put yourself at a disadvantage by not using one...
