This topic brings up an interesting point, you don't see very many 9/8 razors out there, do you? I have a custom made Josh Earl one, but rarely use it because it is difficult to shave my upper lip with it. Maybe that is why they are so rare...

I have a goatee, so don't have this problem.

I can tell you, one WTG pass with this beauty and you're pretty much done...did more anyhow! I never thought I'd like the big blades, went for a Revisor 8/8 on the Classifieds here, Glen honed it to perfection, and it was an awesome shave.

For me, I've always had a bit of trouble with the ATG pass on my right neck area with my left hand (old hockey injury), with the bigger blades I can now do this easily.

I'll always be on the hunt now for W&B's of this type and condition.

Yeah, I could see how a gotee easily bypasses that upper lip problem...

Some would say the size of the blade is irrelevant, it's the only the edge that touches your skin. But, in this type of shaving, like other things, it's all personal taste.

Check out some vids of the bigger blades, lot's of guy's are shaving the upper lip with them, but again...YMMV.
