    I bought a Otto Deutsch off of him, condition was as he said however I had to get it honed. When I tried to use it straight from him there was no way it was shave ready, even my newb honing was better. He was really responsive when I called him up and sounded like he was all right. I am not sure if he was under the impression I was going to hone the razor as I said that I was getting there with my skills.
    A good lather is half the shave.

    A very good guy and excellent communicator. I would have no reservations recommending him. I don't think he claims "shave ready" for the most part. He does have some very nice razors. Just look at the pictures!

    I rest my case.

    I've had a fair bit to do with Ron and he's a first class gentleman.

    Thats good to know re e bay sellers. We are getting totally ripped off by most retailers of razors in oz. One mob sell a bismarck 6/8 for $174, the other $259. Little wonder so few retailers survive here. Hey thats not the ebony wood model, it's the acrylic scales.

    I have him as a "saved seller" so I can drool over his razor porn when nobody is around.
    The longer I'm around this hobby the more I seem to gravitate to the higher end razors.

    They may be more expensive but in his case I think you get what you pay for.

    Question for you guys;
    Where the heck does he get all these from anyway???

    I just put in a bid fror a new 'Klass' solingen razor. I'll see how it goes, He sure has some quality gear, Most of us can't afford it, (Or our wives say we can't!) I'll give a report should I win the bid.

    I asked him a while back when they first started being listed on Ebay ... he said he purchased them from overseas (not Australia) in fairly good condition, gave them a tidy-up, then on-sells them. (I try not to drool when I see them on-line)

    I have bought from him, last year to be exact, and the service and communication were excellent. All his razors seem to be well above average in how well preserved they are. I bought a Heljestrand MK31 and it was in perfect shape, he claimed it was shave ready and it sure was!

    I have wondered about where he gets all these fine razors, just as puzzling as the guy from Japan with the huge selection of NOS Filarmonicas of all kinds... Go figure
