Thread: Kamasori was chipped & not shave ready

I always try to be objective in these posts and always yell "hang the seller, get out the guillotine, shot at sunset."
Maybe just get enough back to get it fixed. :<0)

All are visible by eye also...

Chips contained in the bevel are repairable even on Kamisori so from the pics presented the razor should shave again

I was really hoping for an overall shot of the razor, one of each side would really be helpful..

Without those pics I have to go by the cost of the razor you posted which basically in the sellers eyes the razor is worth $48 since he is valuing the honing at $20 If you feel the razor is worth the $48 then take your $20 and have it honed... Wade does have a point though, you have to figure shipping to and from into honing costs, regardless of Nelson's gracious offer you have to figure it in too, you paid shipping for the razor when you bought it ...

Remember that customs may have damaged the edge with international shipping. If the seller seems like a standup person (sounds like a fair offer to me), I would just take him up on the $20 refund and have it honed by one of our local pro's. I can empathize with your frustrations, but that's Ebay.

Yup. The frustration stinks, but that all looks easily repairable to me.

OK, I went for the refund (tho he required positive feedback before he would refund).

I will watch Glen's video on how to hone a Kamasori 100 times and then try myself.

Anyone ever done a fancy rattan 'handle' on their Kamasori?

So did you get the refund or are you honing it?

He refunded $20 for re-honing.

Ah- got it. Yeah I think considering the hassle and overall amount of money involved, that's a good choice.
