Well, I finally got em after work today. I am a VERY pleased individual. Give me a sec to post all of the pics and info I have so far (gonna be a few post, went kinda camera crazy..... and I still could of taken more )
Here area a couple of group shots out of the box and laid out. Tried to keep them in the same order as the original auction pics for reference.
and now for the close ups.The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

Blade: 5/8? Wedge/Near Wedge, Smiling, no chips, Barbers Notch, Swayback

Etch: very faint "FINE INDIA STEEL" and scrollwork
Scales: black horn w/ brass pins and washers
Blade: 6 or 7/8, barbers notch, swayback, slight smile, no nicks

Scales: Black horn with stacked brass washers and pins. Crack at wedge end, non-show side
Blade: 7/8, barbers notch, wedge, no nicks
W.C. ???TON CELEBRATED RAZOR
No Etching
Scales: Wood one piece scales with copper or brass pin w/ no washer.
Blade: 1" True wedge, 1/16 sawtooth chipping along edge, slight smile

Etch: Super faint etching of a man standing lengthwise on blade (colonial look) with "The Champion of Liberty" at the feet. Pitting at tang end of blade obscures from the waist up.
Scales: Very clear honey horn. Brass washers and pins. NO wedge.
Blade: 7/8 wedge, barbers notch, 1/32 chip about 1" from heel.

As they say, that is that. I feel I got very lucky and fully expect to find nothing but piles of rust for the next year. Most of the razors have some degree of pitting, some worse than others.
If you have any info on some of these (especially the ones with the ?? for the makers marks) please let me know. I really enjoy finding out the history of the makers.The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

I agree nice haul. Looks like most wont need much work other than that huge wedge.

Thanked: 4829Two things come to mind. That is the nicest group of blades I've seen on ebay. So often there is a few nice savable blades and the rest look like junk. The other is that looks like a lot of zen time sanding. Nice score.

I would be very excited to get that lot. Some nice blades, and many don't seem to need that much work. If it were me, I don't even know if I would mess with some of those. The W&B wedge looks great with that patina. I might hone and shave.
