Thread: Just won a bid for lot of 9 razors

So as he title says, placed a bid for a lot of 9 razors and the box they came in. Checked this afternoon and I won! Here is the auction pics. There were only 2, but I figured at least half of them would be good.




I will let you all now how they actually look in person whenever I get my hands on them.

The bone and horn scales may have been worth the price alone,
I am notorious for modifying scales that were made for different blades, it is almost as much fun as making new ones.
Just looking at the pics I bet many are more than savable, nice find and keep up the great razor porn

Pending price I may have done the same, risk is an individual assessment and the box interior is nice.

yeah, i'm not paying much for a blade i can't see. Too many times I've asked the clerk to unlock the case to open the box to pull out the razor only to find:

a blade with a huge chip, broken, or rusted/honed to nothing mounted in marginal scales.

Hope you are pleased with the metal when you get a real look at it. Box is sure nice. Looks like a lot of notches...I like notches. post 'em up when you get 'em.

Well, I will probably get at least a few usable blades. two look to be stub tails, so would be worth it or the history alone. I know prices and valuations are not allowed, so I will say that I paid less than I would have for a new TI or Dovo starter blade. I actually consider myself fairly cheap, but I will take a gamble once in awhile.
