I've done it. Would take some time and tools (hope you don't plan to hand sand it).

Only did it 'cos couldn't find the round point model for several months. As soon as I was finished the rp showed up

    Default Thanks very much

    Thanks FredS,

That's exactly the way I look on Ebay, using "coupe chou". Now you've given away my secret . Anyway, I got a Thiers Issard Spartacus(complete with paddle strop) for only 30 Euro's. Sometimes a man can get lucky.
Now I know that in the future I'll have a little more competition

try asking the seller a question (i.e will you ship to INSERT YOUR COUNTRY HERE)
i recently got a sweet W&B 8/8 wedge in near mint condition
the listing said no shipping o/s no way
    but i asked ...

and he saw i had 100% feedback
he was paid 10 minutes after the auction ended
i had the razor in a week
    we both benefitted
now i note that seller advvertises o/s sales to 100% feedbacks only

    always ask
the worst they can say is no

    +1.
Even if they say they ship to the United States (or whatever country) only, ask the seller anyway. Often times you will find they will be willing to sell to you, as well, but eBay makes it more confusing for them to list an item in other countries due to unknown shipping etc. If the seller knows you will pay, and you do not mind paying a higher shipping than that offered in his or her own country, there is usually no problem, I've found.

Should I REALLY be doing this???

Secret tip #2 - for ebay.de (Germany) use raziermesser as the search - usually a couple of hundred entries. Bargains and good buys to my absolute noob eyes are few and far between, but maybe you will say otherwise. Only issue is that paypal is not well accepted in Germany, and some purchasers only accept bank transfers, which can cost a lot from overseas, unless you have a german bank account of course.

A lot of tat though - like with all ebays it seems.

Default ebay fustrations for European shavers

every one in awhile I post good straight razors on ebay and I ship world wide. I post shavers not collectors, If it happens to be a collector it's not because I knew it.

My razors are shave ready. I want anyone who wins one of my auctions to enjoy a straight razor shave. An awful lot of time and work goes into restoring a straight razor. Believe me, if you win one of the razors I put on ebay you are getting a bargin.

Right now, I have 5 posted on ebay and my ebay name is vbellissim.
