    Default Box Of Ducks

Thought I would share this cause I have never seen a box of ducks before. Looks like a retailer never got around to selling them. Waiting to see how how they will go with the current prices. Vintage Straight Razors Dubl Duck Box 0f 6 | eBay

Oh man, that is just disgustingly attractive. When I grow up and get a good job, I'm going to buy things like that!

Someone's about to become rich (and happy ?) in an ambiguous way ....And someone's about to become poor (but happy ?) in a masochistic kinda way.
Gosh !!.... Don't you just love these dramas when NOS come up for sale ?

No no no, by then you will have kids, a mortgage, a retirement fund...........

Hmm, maybe I can convince my wife these razors are an investment for the future. Who needs precious metals when you have silver steel.

I've met so many people who, instead of sinking their superannuation into a merchant bank, buy vintage guitars, cars, paintings, in fact, anything that
will gain value ( granted, a bit difficult to forsee )....why not straight razors ?

P.S. have you seen the price of gold lately ?....Down the gurgler !!

Wow, that's pretty crazy to see 6 NOS ducks in one auction. Quite frankly, pretty drool worthy. The auction seems mislabeled because it lists 2 9/16 Special No. 1s whereas in the picture I see a 9/16 "Goldedge" wrapper.
NOS Goldege seem like they have been going for a pretty penny these days. Should be an interesting auction to watch.

Really not that unusual. There are plenty like that sitting in folks basements and garages just waiting for the right moment. Some of those wrappers are torn in places so you never know what lurks inside.

As usual a closer look will show serious cell rot!
I have seen full boxes of those and HESS with the cracked ice scales where the blades had disintegrated.
