About "Sheffield Diamond Edge", well I have a W/B "American Razor" and side by side they are 90% or better identical.

Well you know it is a great razor... it cost a whole dollar when new....

If you look at the bids, i'm the guy with 317 rating. What initial/last letter does it show?

I look at every M/G put on ebay for some time now. Same old crap keeps getting re-listed, many old knives, some dude trying to sell catalog pages...

Anyhoo, i'll drop my snipe in somewhere after the 2 minute bell. (Gives time for a re-snipe, and in the case of a tie, earlier bid wins)

Yeah, methinks they throw randomness into the "cover" id's, although that is the correct digitry with one correct letter. I am "W1ADE" via the FCC, and that's always been my Ebay username. I SO have to get some stuff going OUT not IN!

the engraving looks too laser crispy but the seller is the living legend Cedrick Smythe of the handmade Lavender Box...still it looks like it was made last week. Just checked and Manah says they are still in business. Not that this means anything....only if it is being given the scent of vintage but isn't....I could not say but I would be looking into it.....If you want it, I hope you get it...good luck!

Between you, me, and the gatepost ........ if I want a razor I won't tell my own mother. If she might want it too I especially won't tell her, and I'd bid against her if I wanted it bad enough. That said, I had never heard of the seller but I looked at his completed items and all his stuff is clean as a whistle. So he must be a first class restorer. Anyway, I quit buying razors a long time ago and that is probably why I never heard of him.

Yeah, i realized the risk. Took it, as i am want to do. No probs, it's a big world. There are more razors, even Sheffield Diamond Blades.

why would anybody pay that much for that straight? Look at his other straights going tonite unreal.Sorry you did'nt get it but smart move.
