Thanked: 1What do you guys think of the Swaty? I have a Norton 4/8k so I don't think a barber's hone would be good other than as a collector's piece but I don't know for sure.

Swatys have a good reputation as fine finishers for after Norton and for touchups. I wouldn't know as I haven't tried one yet.

Thanked: 346I've got a 3-line that I'm not terribly impressed with, but maybe I've got a bum one. My DD combination hone produces a better edge.

I like my Keen Kutter, I haven't used it for a finishing stone, but it works really well to refresh a blade. I just got the swaty and really haven't had a chance to use it yet.
