What do you guys think of the Swaty? I have a Norton 4/8k so I don't think a barber's hone would be good other than as a collector's piece but I don't know for sure.

Swatys have a good reputation as fine finishers for after Norton and for touchups. I wouldn't know as I haven't tried one yet.

I've got a 3-line that I'm not terribly impressed with, but maybe I've got a bum one. My DD combination hone produces a better edge.

Don't worry 'bout me. I just get a bit pissed when I think I'm going to get a bargain on ebay and then someone yells out HEY EVERYONE! LOOK OVER HERE!!

I like my Keen Kutter, I haven't used it for a finishing stone, but it works really well to refresh a blade. I just got the swaty and really haven't had a chance to use it yet.

Yep, happened to me several times

I also already have one - just wanted to see if another one is better. I like mine,
but it was a bargain and with some chips...

I hope you get it cheap
