But, I'm not confident in the financial or property market at the moment, and from what I have seen, nice razors seem to be a very viable investment (look at the going prices 2-4 years ago, way lower than what they command today), yet they're an investment that one can use and enjoy at the same time (like art or collectable cars I guess), so when I see something I like, I buy it. Will only keep the ones that I like to shave with though, apart from the odd rare find which I will hold onto until I actually need the dollars, otherwise will be nice items to leave to any nephews I have.

I've never considered my razor purchases for any sort of resale let alone investment. For now at least, I see my purchases as a last stop and their value of a purely personal nature. Things may change, but for now that's the way I approach it.

Couldn't agree more, with one caveat.

If I wanted to trim my collection, I wouldn't really have a problem letting go of any of my new production razor's, but the vintage blades, no way. As for my W&B's, not a chance.

I bricked my phone so no more ebay surfing for me for a couple weeks lol

It's not the worst addiction to have. As long as you enjoy it and can afford it there's nothing wrong with buying old razors to clean up. If you end up with too many you could also use them to help new people who due to lack of experience tend to buy junk.
